On to NEC competition in Boston!
Hey everybody! Couple weeks ago we have announced about Class&Jazz’s application to New England Chamber Music Competition. I posted the recording we submitted for the preliminary round here. And now the exciting news for Class&Jazz Duo! After the screening of the preliminary audition tapes, our ensemble was officially invited to take part in the live rounds of the VII International Chamber Music Competition of New England! Here is the email I got from the CMFONE today:
Dear contestants,
We would like to congratulate you on a very impressive performance and commend you all on an overall high level of preparation for the ICMEC.
The level of many individual musicians was very high. However, being a chamber music competition the judges had to make difficult decisions in choosing ensembles based on a total impression from the group and not only on very strong individual players.
One of the primary criteria, which the judges use, is the even match of all the ensemble members.
Below are the names of the ensembles that have moved to the next round to be held at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston on December 3, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. This round is closed to the public. The final round for those who will pass the second round will be held at Jordan Hall of the New England Conservatory on December 4th at 6:00 p.m.
