Lansing Matinee Musicale

Dear friends, Class&Jazz Duo had a wonderful time performing for the Lansing Matinee’s concert series yesterday afternoon. This time we presented a diverse program comprised of the 20th century composers – Alexander Tansman, Vitali Khodosh and Maurice Ravel. All three composers were following a path of conventional tonality, but nonetheless they were able to create wonderful pieces full of contrasting vigor, lively characters and captivating freshness that made this music very accessible and welcomed by the audience. Fundraising in Battle Creek

Last weekend the Class&Jazz Duo was invited to perform at the major fundraising event for the Battle Creek Music Center. For me it was especially important ocassion because of my long-standing relationship with Battle Creek Symphony orchestra as the Associate Concertmaster. We greatly enjoyed playing outside of Jim Fletcher’s house, one of the Music Center’s board members, and we’re happy to learn that the fundraising was a big success. Thank you Battle Creek, MI for having us this summer!

Great concert in Mason

Hello friends, It was an absolute pleasure to play Camille Saint-Saens’s Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso with Mason Symphony Orchestra under the direction of maestro Suren Petrosyan. This community orchestra has grown so much since the time I first heard them playing about 2 years ago. I enjoyed rehearsals with these guys, they are incredibly friendly and love music sincerely.
